What are your desires in life? Are you seeking to be happy and do you think money or fame is going to get you there? In this stressed filled lifestyle so many people are seeking some kind of happiness through the deceitfulness of riches and still never get there or find it. In this article I explain about what true happiness is, it’s a special gift called JOY.

There are so many people lost and searching and they don’t even know it, it’s so sad that people have been deceived by Satan and think that heaps of money is going to bring them happiness. IT’S NOT. Real happiness is called Joy and it only comes from the Lord. It is that deeper bliss within. I used to believe that Laughter was the Best Medicine because that was something I was used to hearing all the time (although there are a lot of good Health and Healing Benefits of laughter I don’t look at it as something that fulfills me to the core because so many people can so easily put on a fake laugh and still be sorrowful inside). Ecclesiastes 7:3 (KJV) Sorrow is better than laughter: for by the sorrow of the countenance the heart is made better. I realized now that only Jesus could truly satisfy me and make me happy, that’s when I found this great Joy in the Holy Ghost. Jesus is Definitely the BEST MEDICINE!

Joy is a sense of fulfillment, being joyful in what God has blessed you with (being thankful) and helped you to achieve. When you have Joy, you find ways to look at problems to solve them, instead of stressing and you actually start looking at life in a more positive light, being joyful in what you do. Although If you are working I don’t recommend doing something you aren’t sure about, I encourage you to always pursue your dreams and who God has called you to be with courageous passion and love. While food can be good medicine to relieve stress, it no where near comes close to the feeling Joy brings, which relieves all tensions and brings about a sense of peace. It says in Proverbs 3:7-8 (KJV) Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord and depart from evil, It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. This is also what brings great Joy, fearing the Lord and not leaning on our own understanding, when we do this, it makes us thankful for what we have and what we have achieved, making us excited to try new things and to keep doing the work God has called us for, this is all good for our health.

Have you ever seen how happy and excited children get? Part of the reason is because children don’t get worried, that’s true, but Joy is mostly what they have and that’s because children are humble. Also have you ever seen someone who’s just been born again and how they become full of Love, Joy, and Hope once Jesus gives them a new life? (They contain all of the things children possess before they are brainwashed), If you read in Matthew 18:3-5 it talks about how we need to accept Christ Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. This means God want’s us to stay humble as a little child is, so we don’t become blinded by our pride which stops God’s Amazing Grace, Abundance, Joy and Truth in our life. Joy also comes from a sense of humbling ourselves because when our eyes aren’t blinded from pride and we can see clearly again, we start to see things in a more positive light, a Joyful one. Being humble is one huge step to being Joyful and those that fear the Lord are already half way there.

I notice that I’m less Joyful or I find it harder to be happy or thankful when I don’t trust in God or lean on him. God’s always showing me something or he’s trying to tell me his ways are not always my ways. So when we learn to depend on God more, we will be much happier and healthier as he directs our paths Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Speaking of Joy, I also believe that to have the fullness of Christ and his Joy in our life, we have to be living by the fruits of the spirit, which are Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Gentleness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Kindness, Self control: against such is no law. Galatians 5:22-23. Amazing as it may seem when we submit to our Saviour or when we become born again, a new person with Christ, God overwhelms us with his Love for us, we have an amazing sense of Peace and Joy and we can learn to forgive others because we know we are forgiven and God teaches us to be Patient, that tests our Faith. So when we are wholeheartedly submitting to him, we start to produce these fruits of the spirit, I believe it’s part of becoming born again but God is the one who puts these fruits in us and there is no greater Joy than living by them.

If you are looking for the right path, it’s with Jesus Christ. The one who died for you and rose again. He wants your heart because he loves you, that’s why he died for you. All you have to do is accept him and believe Ephesians 2:8-9 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Salvation is a free Gift of God! isn’t that Amazing. God can give you a new life like never before. Surrender your WHOLE heart 100% to him and he can give you outstanding Joy like no other, which cannot come from any other source but him. Real happiness called Joy is not a temporary feeling of bliss but a real feeling of contentment with the Holy Spirit within you.  All you have to do is believe in him, it’s your choice, like God said many are called but few are chosen because few choose to believe in him but if you do he can make you clean and bring you to the light. I want you to find him because it’s just so amazing when God makes you a new person, makes things clear for you and brings understanding, that’s the Joy I have in the Lord! I LOVE it! and I love Jesus! 

I feel my best/most healthy when I am full of Joy, that’s why I know Joy in the Holy Ghost is the Best Medicine, although to receive full Joy we must not lean on our own understanding, we have to be patient and learn to wait upon the Lord and he will renew our strength. Jesus says in Isaiah 40:31 (KJV) But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. When you wait on the Lord, it forces you to trust and to learn patience, both of which test our faith and are both key ingredients in life. God wants us to wait upon him, to trust him in everything, when we do, he brings about great understanding and peace as he renews our mind and gives us hope for the future, that is what brings JOY. But God still wants your heart because it is not his will that any soul should perish, but all come to repentance. It says in Luke 5:32 (KJV) I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance. So don’t turn away in wrath or pride (hard hearted) because Jesus can give you a life better than the one you have now, a life full of Joy, Love, Peace, Understanding, Hope and Thankfulness but Jesus wants you to come first to receive him wholeheartedly, turn from your Sin and your own understanding and abide in his truth (his light). Cling to his promises daily, obey his word and fear the Lord! BELIEVE. It will be health to thy navel and marrow to thy bones. It says in Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. Putting your faith in Christ is what you need to do now, trust him for the impossible, and he will make your paths straight again and reward you (bless you) depending on that faithfulness and according to your own faith. With the world nothing is possible but with God ALL things are Possible! So trust him today!
